Welcome to the Game of Darts

The game of darts is a game of simple pleasure, dexterity, and fun. It is undeniably, a familiar fixture readily found in most local countryside taverns and cosmopolitan bars in most cities in various parts of the world. Isn’t it surprising that what started out as a training method of sorts for archery in England during the Middle Ages soon evolved into the standardized game played the world over by millions of enthusiasts and professional players in this present day and age? Not if you were to consider the various nations of the world as part of what a good number of people would nowadays call a global village. A global village bridged by the advances in technology from telecommunications, transportation possibilities, the Internet and of course, the game of darts!

While a game of darts is oftentimes played and enjoyed in club houses, taverns, and bars, you can just as easily set up a dart board at home for recreation, entertainment or if you’re the competitive sort who doesn’t like to lose a game to friends, a venue for practice. It is indeed, a recreation for most and a serious sport for a select few that can be enjoyed with alone or better yet, with friends. Proficiency at darts requires plenty of practice, hand-eye coordination development, enthusiasm and a certain degree of luck or what else you may call it.
